Law enforcement seized 4.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and arrested two people after serving a search warrant Thursday on a Livingston hotel room, said Park County Sheriff Brad Bichler.

The search warrant was executed as part of an investigation by the Eastern Montana High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Drug Task Force, Sheriff Bichler said.

The task force recently contacted the Park County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the investigation after learning the man and woman were possibly en route to Livingston.

A drug detective from the Park County Sheriff’s Office located the two people at the Livingston hotel and placed them under surveillance, the sheriff said.

Bichler applauded the work of his detective and the coordinated effort of the various agencies that assisted in the investigation.
